It's not the strongest, but I used to play this in many decks back when I was first starting. It works out to being a solid little combat trick.

Design-wise, I always appreciate when cards are flexible. It would be interesting to redesign this as a modern card.

Sure that isn't competitvely costed for modern magic, but it is an example of one of the first alternative cost morph abilities. That in itself is creative design space a that is worth exploring more, in my opinion.
