I feel the looting ban just prevents them having to further worry about what kind of gy based stuff they wanna do, so it's more of they've just had enough of it

I hope that SFM is similar to JTMS in that it gets a reprint soon but modern should be a lot slower and more interesting now. Probably the most interesting part will be the optimal equipment package since we don't have Jitte in the format

As much as it would probably suck having your deck banned out every so often, I agree that bans to shape formats more is better approach rather than just dealing with problem cards

kind of a rough ban for us yesterday since we were really one of the only fair decks playing looting. On the plus side there's gonna be less gy hate hopefully. I don't even know what replacement for looting I like though

I can see big mana decks being on the rise again as a result of the influx of decks trying to jam SFM right now since it just got unbanned
Now that there's a pretty big shake up in modern hopefully we get to see some of the new stuff from horizons show up more

tbh I think that the interaction between it and field of the dead from the bant scapeshift decks is going to be interesting but overall I don't feel that it matters too much because rotation is so close
