Today's Challenge: New meld of two existing cards - Choose two cards, add a meld ability and create a meld card combining these two cards

.::To Enter::.
In a single post:
  • Name exactly two other players to vote for their entries for the previous challenge. (In the event that there are two or fewer entries that you are allowed to vote for, you may vote for only one.)
  • Make a card that fits the current challenge.
  • Include an "If I Win" (IIW) for tomorrow's challenge if you win.
Each day we use the challenge of the previous day's winner. In the case of a tie, we'll use the IIW of the tied player who has least overall points. In case of a further tie, the IIW of the earlier poster will be used.

.::Scoring::.
netn10 50 (+3)
shullz 42 (+5)
Komandon 27 (+3)
FrostBoss216 23 (+1)
void_nothing 19 (+2)
TessaMTG 15 (+2)

@Komandon - Black doesn't really get efficient enchantment removal without restrictions or drawbacks. You found a very original way for a drawback that makes it more of a mill card than a removal. I think it fits black well.
@TessaMTG - I think this card is way too powerful, but I really like the concept and that you brought Gravestorm back.

My submission yesterday doesn't exactly follow the challenge, but I couldn't think of anything that specific and I liked how that card works. (If targeted correctly it could follow the challenge!)

Any player may sacrifice a Horse to add or subtract 1 roll total any roll unless there are no Horse tokens on the battlefield.
(After the game the judge may ban you from the store and casting is card counts as a waver from suing.)

From Nothingness Come Knives 3B
Enchantment (R)
When From Nothingness Come Knives enters the battlefield, target opponent reveals their hand. You choose a nonland card there. That opponent exiles that card with a hit counter on it.
At the beginning of each opponent's end step, if that player's life total is less than or equal to the number of cards they own in exile with hit counters on them, they lose the game.
2BBB: Choose target nonland card in exile with a hit counter on it. You lose life equal to that card's mana value, then copy it and you may cast the copy without paying its mana cost.

IIW: Extremely powerful T abilities

Since all of the cards had really original ideas yesterday, I feel like giving some extended commentary today.
@TessaMTG - Planeswalker ultimates are a good way to give powerful alternative win conditions, but if I understand it correctly, the effect here is pretty weak, because it only prevents "You win the game" effects, which is really niche.
@LandellXil0cent - Nice remix of aetherflux reservoir. I think this could have been cheaper, because energy is usually harder to accumulate than life.
@FrostBoss216 - This card was an instant favorite at first glance. Love the concept. But after thinking about it, I didn't see it doing anything other than preventing "You win the game" effects. Would it prevent your life points from hitting 0 or prevent you from having to draw from an empty library? I also think it would have made more sense to put the losing player into protective custody instead of the winning player.
@KarrotVr - Wanted to give you my vote for making me laugh, but in the end some other entries won me over.
@netn10 - A really cool concept. But I don't think a card can be colored and colorless at the same time.
@Komandon - Looks a bit like an Un-card remix of Shahrazad. Fun card.
@void_nothing - Interesting concept. The win effect is probably not that relevant if you don't excessively flicker that card.

Melds with Mirari

Melds with Katsumasa, the Animator

IIW: An "ultimate" Gatewatch member, with abilities that match exactly what they would do when fighting at their most powerful.
I love Tchotchke Elemental. And as always: wear your seatbelt, tear up your friend's mill deck, and buh-bye. (Please don't actually tear up your friend's mill deck, no matter how annoying it is.)

(I wanted to make one mocking the meme Darth Vader riding Charizard but couldn't figure it out. Or a girl and her dog for a FMA reference but that is too dark. So not going for humor this time.)
