54 Card Expansion Set

Card doubling (two reasons, one ability)
I want to have many of the cards in this cube have one ability, that two of the architypes want. for example, the mono-colored lands have abilities that either their cost is something a deck wants to fulfill, or the ability is. This excludes the multicolored cards, which are signposts for the various strategies and architypes.

Overview of strategies
  • Aggro, token related
  • Aristocrats, want to sacrifice things
  • Graveyard harvesting
  • +1/+1 counters Grow
  • Wants to cast two spells, then take a turn off. Also; make things cheaper to cast.
Design goals
  • There should be 198 cards total.
    • This is for pankake drafting with 11 cards, (pick 1 pass, pick 2 junk 2 pass, pick two junk four pack finished)
  • Each of the color pairings should have three gold cards.
  • Each of the colors has a land that plays well with both of its color pairs.
  • Each color pair/strategy should get help from the color that is in between the given colors.
    • Probably 6 of these cards per color.
    • The primary goal of these cards is to support the main strategies of the color they are in, but should incidentally support the color pairing that the color is between.
      • +1/+1 counters (whites way of paring with blue green)
        • links to whites cards that give +1/+1 counters.
      • Cost reduction (blacks way to pair with red and blue)
        • links to blacks cards that support
      • Sacrifice a creature (blues way of pairing with white black)
        • links to Blues cards that support .
      • Reds way of pairing with black green
        • links to reds cards that support
      • Greens way of pairing with red white
        • links to Greens cards that support .
